In the past three years my duties in CEFoRD inlude but not limited to the following;

• Partner with office of Social development and Child protection networking group at the county level and attend coordination meetings with partners.

• Represent CEFoRD in absence of the program coordinator

• Participate fully in Fund Raising and proposal writhing

• Organize and facilitate training workshops on child rights and child protection to community leaders, traditional leaders, parents and caregivers and other community empowerment trainings.

• Monitoring the project implementation of all projects to ensure quality and achieving Indicators and expected out put

• Prepare Annual, monthly reports and plans and submit to the program coordinator

• Provide psychosocial support to Children who survive from abuse and Victims of GBV

• work closely with the community leaders and Child Welfare committee to influence change of certain traditional practices that harms Children

• Develop, collect and maintain training matterials

 

What I Actual did and doing in CEFoRD

As I did mentioned in the other pages, currently am the Program officer for CEFoRD and my duties had be highlighted before. but before my current position below are what I did.

 

I organize and mobilize stakeholders for meetings as needed in the project description. In trainings, I write invitation and deliver them to our community mobilizers or contact focal person in the area of operation. In total I have conducted 30 trainings for community leaders and Children groups in 9 different communities from 2011-2013.

 

Furthermore, I organized and facilitated 24 community screenings and six special screenings that brings in key local/community leaders, teachers, parents and care givers to sensitize them on the rights of Children, community empowerment related trainings and their responsibilities as leaders in the communities to come up with local bylaws that governs Children and Young people at Boma level in Yei River county South Sudan.

In addition I monitor and evaluate the project progress.

 

Lastly, I train Children and young people on participatory video for community awareness raising. This includes training children on message development, facilitating screenings, Shooting skills and basics on video creation process.

• Plan, implement, monitors and report the progress of the project activities in monthly bases

• Identify, design and facilitate training on safe water and sanitation practice.

• Responsible for coordinating all the activities with the concerned department at the county level

• Plan and conduct monthly meetings with the beneficiaries of the project

• Motivate and encourage potential leaders and fellow community leaders and elders to promote unity and self-reliance through Agricultural practice.

• Conduct training workshops majorly for Child welfare committees on scheduled themes and drama actor training to address community based issues through drama performances Plan, implement, monitors and report the progress of the project activities in monthly basesIdentify, design and facilitate training on safe water and sanitation practice.
